all project related decision making happens on publically accessible ASF infrastructure that is guaranteed to be around as long as the ASF is around. This ensures you can a) keep up with the project b) take part in decision making c) have a public archive of decisions made.
Also: no one person or company can dominate a project no matter how much VC money you have. You have as much decision making power as a the aforementioned young whippersnapper.
