I do remember that. Cool concept indeed.

But since nostr’s Other Stuff has such broad/general potential, this could easily serve as a “view only” way to engage (ie filter by relay, market-feed, etc.) within an existing social/communications-focused client like Damus. That seems like a pretty straightforward feature/tweak on the existing setup.

Then, at the same time, one could potentially build a client that interfaces more deeply with these p2p exchanges.

's point about unwanted attention is a good one, though, and while I tend to think that everything will “come to nostr” eventually, it may not be in the protocol’s favor to start with the use cases that specifically attract regulatory attention (ie finance/money/exchanges/“defi”/etc), at least until its robust enough - and with a large enough user base - to withstand the pressure that comes with that sort of thing
