Do you know the origin of the word dollar? It comes from the German word taler, that means valley. There was this Joachim that used to mint good silver coins, loved in a valley that was known as Joachimsthal. Then those coins for centuries were know as taler, that in the early USA were called dollar, just a name of a silver coin. Maybe I don't remember all the details of that but it always fascinates me.
