Disagree. If you pray to a given god, you are denying part of your sovereignty. There are those of us who are sovereign in body, mind, and spirit, and those of us who are slaves.
I will not fault the slaves for being who they are, but I will not excuse them because of their slavery.
This is not saying that one cannot believe in some higher power. Belief does not imply subservience.
