I don't think we need clients that run different currencies. We need a NIP that expands zaps to allow multiple currencies.
Users should be able to select what currency they accept and send. When sending a zap it should identify what the receiver accepts and allow atomic swaps if it's different.

To get a message from person A to person B,
1. Person B needs to know they want to hear from person A
2. There needs to be a channel to achieve this.
With privacy, person B needs to be listening for person A through a communication channel that is inconspicuous to those trying to disrupt communication
Censorship resistance is about person B discovering person A. The communication channel needs to be unstoppable.

I think everyone should hold a bit of monero as a hedge against Bitcoin not getting decent privacy.
The neat part is that by holding (and using) monero it puts pressure on Bitcoin to implement privacy. This prevents governments creating white list of known Bitcoin and prevent unregulated permissionless use of Bitcoin.

The cheapest way to get SATs I have found is to buy at set price on Bitaroo, 0.15% maker fee. Then send to Wallet of Satoshi, 1000 sat fee. Then to strike, about 100 SATs, then send low priority to cold storage for no fees in excess of the on chain fee.
Its KYC, but you jump between companies in different countries via lightning.
Is there a cheaper option?
Is there a lightning non KYC custodian that can send on chain for cheap?
