yes and no. there is something to say about a powerful entity helping to regulate drastic boosts and crashes. the reason gov't involvement fails is because of business elites using them as a weapon, personal greed, and simple incompetence

i never said laissez faire is the cause of dutch disease. dutch disease is one of many examples why laissez faire is dangerous. @npub13ll…6exa put it best, markets evolve and change. lassiez faire can help, but if left unchecked will destroy. its yin and yang, a careful balance

run your same model with zero gov't intervention. the same effect would happen. it has nothing to do with gov't involvement and everything to do with an over inflated price level. you currency inflates due to massive exports of that good (usually raw resources) causing your manufactured goods to be relatively too expensive, crushing that sector of you economy.

exactly! if overall GDP growth is 2% and you are earning 5% on your investments, you are taking in additional productivity (wealth) than actually develops in the overall economy. that came from exploitation of labor somewhere.
once we are in a true global economy, there will be no other countries to outsource to. you will have to make the slave class more productive to achieve the same active returns

you second paragraph makes the first binding. on its own, the first paragraph is very misleading. the market would adjust for this excess supply and reduce the amount of suppliers, bringing aggregate supply back down... unless there was an actual increase in aggregate demand, that's GDP growth :)
